if I need a gift for someone who loves food, this is almost always where I start.

in 1982, Zingerman’s began as a small Jewish deli in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and somehow turned gourmet gift baskets into an art form.

I’ve worked my way through quite a few of them—from bread boxes with decadent chocolate sourdough to their tinned fish assortment that got me fully on the Ortiz tuna train. every basket has introduced me to something that ended up becoming a pantry staple.

the thing I love most is that nothing feels like filler. everything earns its place, whether it’s bread, chocolate, conservas, olive oil, or preserves.
